MISC: Erika uses reading glasses and her style is usually toned down with a hint of "cute" to it. Her hair is naturally curly, but for the sake of simplicity, she usually straightens it.
PERSONALITY: At first and to most people, Erika appears as shy. She warms up to people rather slowly and generally feels uncomfortable around people she doesn't know - especially in crowds. Despite her shyness, Erika is both clever and smart, though often referred to as a "nerd" or a "grey mouse".
Once you get past the shyness though (or just happen to rub her either the "wrong" or "right" way), Erika is quite the passionate young lady with a fire few others can match. She's stubborn to a flaw and although she'd never, ever admit to it, has some reckless tendencies. Once she believes in something, she doesn't give up easily. Although, that goes for most things, given how annoyingly stubborn she can be.
Erika is also kind, but gullible and can be easily manipulated if one uses the right means. She has a big heart she doesn't let everyone see - not out of fear or anything quite as cliche, but simply because it takes her (as mentioned) some time to warm up to people.

Erika's life was fairly normal. She grew up in a loving home with her mother, Rosa Maria and her father, William. Her family didn't have a lot of money, but they got by. Erika had an older brother whom, despite all of his (lovingly) flaws, did the best he could to help his family out. Her family often struggled to make ends meet, but at the very least, they were somewhat happy.
During elementary and high school, Erika did her best to get the best kind of grades in hopes that she could get a tuition into one of the nearby colleges, since her family couldn't afford it. She spent every day and night working towards her goal, sacrificing friends and enjoying her teenage years. This only enhanced her natural shyness, but she got by with the support of her family and friends she'd had since she was little.
High school came and went, but college seemed far away. Her grades was overshadowed by the ivy league kids and Erika had to get herself a job as a way to earn enough money to take a few classes here and there. The years went by and Erika's run towards college was looking bleaker by the minute. The longer she worked, the busied she got and the less time she had for classes.
But Erika remained hopefull and headstrong. At least she managed to save up a bit of cash and eventually, managed to get a small studio apartment close to a community college as well as her place of work, a small diner with a few loyal customers.♦ THE PLAYER ♦
