Brainstorming Thread

Hey there, guys!

We're wondering if there's anything OoC (out of character) and IC (In character) that you guys feel are missing from the site to help build the OoC community as well as the IC? Like for example, various awards for graphics, writing, characters, threads? Maybe a custom page for games? An in-character cbox? More businesses and boards? Events you want to see? This can be any feature and any idea -- just throw 'em out there and help us build and make this community great!

An IC Cbox sounds like a fab idea, actually. Though, I think, if it's possible, the cbox wouldn't be a public one? Like, certain characters can have their own IC cboxes, etc. Kind of like an IM thing. If it's possible. I do think it would be quite difficult to set up? I know that we usually have subboards/threads that can serve as "instant messaging" but I think having a cbox that's more real-time would be even more exciting. Lol. Just thinking off the top of my head here.

Honestly, having a IC cbox for each individual character could potentially become a lot of work as the site grows, and because of the Proboards TOS, the staffers would have to be able to monitor these IC cboxes to prevent any rules from being broken (Same as how the rules apply for the on site PM's), so we can't have any "private" rooms. However, a solution could be adding a few different boxes, like, let's say two chat boxes that can be reserved for character 1 and character 2 and then a box that would be sort of "free for all". Otherwise, there's always the subboard you mentioned, for those who prefer that.

Either way, there's a work in progress IC-Cbox added as a feature to the site. I figured we could start with something simple and see how popular it is before doing any large projects on that department. You can find the IC-Box on the navigation tree, between "members" and "messages".
