List your character's history here. At least two paragraphs.
Ryan was born to a young mother and father on a small farm. They didn't have much money but they still tried to give Ryan a good childhood. At an early age he was taught how to care for the animals on the farm. Though usually it was with his father that he learned about physical labor. While his mother was more of a housekeeper and she mostly cleaned the house and cooked the meals. At around the age of fifteen he started noticing that he heard things that he wasn't sure were real. Sometimes he would hear his parents call his name but when he'd ask them why they were calling for him they said that they hadn't called for him. At first Ryan just shrugged it off. But later things got much worse. He started hearing a gruff male voice tell him to cut himself. Almost immediately Ryan started to become scared but he didn't want to tell his parents because he thought they would think he was crazy. He would go about his daily chores but at night he would sometimes cry himself to sleep.
As Ryan grew older he tired to shrug off the voices. But they became increasingly worse and worse as time grew on. His school life suffered and he was in danger of failing most of his high school classes. Finally, after things had scared him enough, he told his parents. But to his surprise they actually believed him. His father said that he was going to pay for a psychiatrist to talk to him. Ryan agreed and soon he was in regular therapy with both a psychiatrist and a therapist. His doctor believed that Ryan was suffering from what was known as schizoaffective disorder. He put Ryan on some medication that started working a few weeks after starting them. But his grades continued to slip and eventually Ryan was forced to quit high school.
At the age of thirty one Ryan was feeling slightly better. He still heard the voices from time to time but he was able to keep them under control. Though he would sometimes go days without leaving his apartment because they got out of control, he still had his good days too. The good news was that in his early twenties he had gotten his GED and was able to work. But he found himself getting jobs and then losing them due to his illness. As of the age of thirty two he was unemployed and looking for work. His illness was doing good and he was able to remain hopeful about his future.♦ THE PLAYER ♦
