The girl was slumped forward on her desk in a daze. The light outside had all but turned into a inky darkness which was only broken by the streetlights down the long lawn. A silence had fallen across the world and it seemed to only be broken by crickets. She glanced at the time and sat up, rubbing her eyes. It was stupid to be upset. Looking across the view from her window she sniffed, her nose running. What did she care? Why does it matter if he doesn't like you. He doesn't deserve you so it doesn't matter.

She wiped her eyes and shook her head. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter...
AMONG THE SCHIZOS AND PSYCHOS.
After a few moments she looked back down at the clock and then her phone pinged, one of her friends begging her to come to a party. A party that her friend promised had lots of hot guys. Not that her parents would let her out after that outburst during dinner.

Not that it would matter whether they would let her anyway, she could always sneak out before they did their daily checks. Not that they would care. Not that anyone would care.
THE MANIC DEPRESSIVES AND PILL POPPERS
So she would be fine to just go out her window. Slide down the roof. Call her friend for a lift and be at a party. It'd be a good distraction. Anything would be a good distraction.
She wiped her eyes on her sweater before moving towards the window, flinging on a brown long jacket. After a quick glance at her door Scarlet slid open the window and climbed out.

She hit the ground hard after slowly slipping down the low roof. And then she was gone. Moving through the jet black darkness of the night.
