GENDER: Male
ORIENTATION: Homosexual
POSITION: High School Student♦ THE CHARACTER ♦
HEIGHT: Six Foot Even
HAIR COLOR: Black, Desires to dye it though
EYE COLOR: Dark Brown.
MISC: Atticus wears a lot of sweatpants. Wears a shark tooth necklace he got at Put-N-Bay. Has a lot of Ohio State tshirts because Ohio is his home state.
PERSONALITY: Atticus likes to be alone if given the choice. Other then his twin sister Helen whome he tries to spend the majority of his time texting their are not a lot of people that Atticus is close enough to chat with. Even if their were.. There are to many possibly conversation topics to text about that the idea of initating one with non family makes him a tad nervous.
Atticus desires friends. Even when he denies that he still secretly wants them. Some of the reasons he has trouble making friends is conversation. Atticus has specific likes and dislikes.. Such as his love for the history of cultures and geography, but if people are not interested in what he likes then he has trouble careing for the topic at hand. He has been told before that he has a tendency of repeating the same conversations so the attempt at trying just seems pointless. Another reason is he thinks to much into things.. Such as all the reasons why hanging out at another friends house could go bad. Offers to hang out usually end up denied with the excuse that he is busy or has something to do when in reality he would be staying at home by himself unless Helen intervenes. Sometimes when he is out of his comfort zone Atticus can have a good time.. It's just getting out of the comfort zone that is half the battle.
He also cares far too much about what others think about him. It is why he hates his birthday and tries to make it all about Helen to avoid the attention. One mean comment about his fingers bleeding from his chewing and biting can stay in his head all day just being tossed around in his mind. Why does he chew and pick at his nails? Because it is a distraction from whatever is making him anxious.
Atticus hates to be interrupted. Rarely does the teen get exited about something off his realm of usual topics: Pokemon, Culture, History, The Walking Dead, Hunger Games, Orange is the New Black etc... So when someone interrupts him when he goes off on the topic of say the hunger games he has trouble reacting. Normally he tries to hold it in until the person is done and continues right on with what he was about to say before getting stopped. It doesn't matter if the person told Atticus that he hates the hunger games along as he gets it out of his mouth somehow.
SECRET(S): Atticus has a wall filled with photos of all the opportunities he had to talk to people but ended up not because he talked himself out of it. Mostly covered with the back of employees heads at stores. Each photo is dated with a sticky not under it. The wall is only for the people he could of chatted with in California since he just moved. All the opportunity before moving to California are in Jaguars and Leopard fake fur picture books. That he keeps under his bed along with Helen's cosmopolitans that he definitely reads when she is done with them.♦ THE HISTORY ♦
Atticus was born after his twin sister. Twenty minutes to be exact. His mother was a lover of books and plays so she named both of the twins after book characters and their middles names after characters in plays. Atticus was brought up along with his sister by there mother. Their mother was named Carol and she worked as a high school English teacher while their father kept little contact to the point of being near absent as he climbed the latter as a director in California. It didn't matter to Atticus that his father wasn't around because he still had his mother and grandparents. Atticus as a child a spent half of the time alone or with his twin sister. He never got along with the other kids because they teased him and his grandmother told him the advise that he would use as the reason for no friends "You didn't come to school to make friends" so that is what he did.. Or that's at least what he told himself.
Atticus was devastated the day his mother died. He was playing online checkers with the computer when his grandfather came in and sat him down a few months ago and explained that his mother was shot while at a gas station. The news couldn't have been true, Atticus told his grandad that it was a very bad joke before finally crying into the oldmans shoulder when he realized that he was indeed telling the truth. The funeral made Atticus nervous and sad. Nervousness because he was greeted by family he didn't even know very well and sad because of the sight of his mother in the casket brought him into tears. People at school tried to be nice to him but he pushed them away like he always did.. Telling himself that they were judging him and that hanging out would always end up terrible. The comfort zone that he had before his mothers death was getting smaller and the things he called risk were getting bigger. Such as the invitation to live with his father in Californa.. But when his sister decided to accept then the answer was clear: he wouldn't lose his mother and sister too. The two moved and Atticus is still adjusting to the changes in scenary. Fancy houses were never a interest for Atticus and the house they moved to was rather fancy in the boys opinion so the idea of breaking things and worry of doing so always was at the back of his mind. Other then the move Atticus has kept up with his loner tendencies and the only thing to note is the new therapist that he is mildly interested in meeting with.♦ THE PLAYER ♦
