Right, introductions.
I'm Karliah Crowley. My friends call me Karly, so don't use it.
I guess the most important bit of info about me would be that my dad was a cop. I don't have some tragic backstory; I'm no Peter Parker. My family was normal, if a little stricter than most. That was to be expected really. It was never chokingly so; I never had to sneak out in order to do something.
Doesn't mean I didn't sneak out, but that's not important.
For the most part I was a good, if rambunctious, kid. I studied for my tests, did my homework, actually ate my vegetables, and so on. When I decided to follow my dad's line of work, it wasn't because I was pressured to. If anything, I saw how hard it was for him. If anything, there was probably more to convince me not to do it. There's been a lot of bad nights and close calls where I could've lost a parent.
But I've always been stubborn. I saw the good he was able to do and I wanted to follow along with that. Sure I'm not perfect. I've got a mouth on me that just won't quit, and a penchant for coming off as an ass. Still, I wanted to help. This seemed like the best option, so I took it. Once my dad saw I was really going through with it, he helped me out. Eventually I graduated with my family's support, and now here I am.
