Lights Out? She'd seen the trailer a few times, and while she'd love to see it she was certain the kids wouldn't. So she rolled her eyes. "How about we wait until they're a little older and tougher before trying to mentally scar them, ok?" She replied sweetly, although Karliah could probably tell she was oozing sarcasm.
What about the rest of the choices then? She wasn't really into the "cute animation" type movies, but the twins would love it. So it was more about picking the lesser of the two evils. "Which one has a better time slot so we can get food and get over there?" She asked. Even as she did she leaned forward to look herself. But also glance at Karliah and smirk. "Also, Star Trek? Really?" She snickered. "You closet nerd."

Karliah takes in disappointment and threw a fake pout back at Rebekka. "Oh come on. Now's the time where it can make the really interesting side effects pop up!" Although they both knew she wouldn't want to do something like that to the kids. It was why they never talked about work in the house.
Yeah, murders and drug trafficking didn't make for the best dinner time conversations, surprisingly.
"Let's see..." Karliah hummed while scrolling through both movies. "Looks like Finding Dory will be better time wise. The other one has a viewing in ten minutes, and then it's while after that before the next." Hopefully it wouldn't be too kid oriented and magical. "Also I came out of the closet a while ago, Bekka." Karliah shot her a look with an arched brow. "I broke down the door and went straight for a Star Wars marathon. I don't hide it."

Rebekka snorted. "My siblings aren't your little guinea pigs, Karly." She responded dryly. But she knew the girl wouldn't do that. Rebekka was trying her best to keep the twins as unscarred and mentally stable as she possibly could. She didn't want them ending up like her. Or even worse: their mother. Fortunately Karliah understood that, even if Rebekka hadn't given her all the details. She trusted the blonde officer a great deal. But there were some secrets she had to keep.
Finding Dory. Rebekka rolled her eyes. No doubt every Mary and Gary Sue was going to be there with their kid to watch the cute little movie about "fishies." But it was the best one they'd have. "Fine. Buy us some tickets." She replied while heading over to find her credit card. She could still hear Karliah's little remarks on breaking the closet door. She had to laugh. "I'm pretty sure that's the second closet door you've broken down." She said, coming forward and pushing the chair with Karliah out of the way so she could type.

"Hey I'm sure they'd volunteer if I asked them." She grinned cheekily while she said it, but soon went back to the computer again to buy the tickets. Or at least she was util Rebekka pushed her out of the way. Karliah huffed and crossed her arms.
"What? I'm a very open person. That and the closets were getting stuffy, alright?" She returned as she waited for Rebekka to finish. "And judging from your love life I'm almost tempted to say you should come out. But then I realize you're in a dumpster instead, not a closet. I want to keep all the smell contained in one place." Now she was grinning again.

Rebekka rolled her eyes once at the volunteer comment, and then rolled her eyes again when Karliah started talking about closets. She finished tapping the information before buying the tickets. Then she promptly turned her head and glared at Karliah. The dumpster huh? Admittedly she couldn't fight the smirk growing on her face if she tried.
"The only smelly thing in this room is you from the number of times you-" She started to reply before heading the footsteps come back down. Abruptly she cut off and just settled for a quick glare. When Rebekka turned and faced her siblings, it was with a warm smile instead. "Hey guys! We're watching Finding Dory." She announced, crouching down to get the printed paper. When she looked up, the twins looked visibly excited.
God it wasn't fair they could turn her insides to mush so quickly.
Still, she was happy they looked happy. So she motioned for Karliah to follow along with the others. "Alright then, let's head out! I'll drive." With that she snatched the keys.

Karliah snickered when Rebekka had to cut off her comeback for the twins arrival. Perfect timing. She stuck out her tongue at the glare in absolute maturity before grinning at the kids. "And we are definitely getting individual popcorn boxes." She could down a large all by herself. No way was she sharing the buttery goodness.
And Rebekka was driving? Now she could pester her the whole way. But first she was already hurrying for the car. "Last one there sits in the middle!" She called back over her shoulder.
The twins would know that the middle meant they'd be getting purposely squished too.
But Karliah was fast from her job and reached the doors before them. Even if it was Finding Dory, she found herself excited. "Come on Bekka hurry up!"
